Three airlines express interest in operating in Canaries
Three new airlines have expressed an interest in operating to the archipelago, the Canarian Government has announced.
The Minister of Tourism, Maria Teresa Lorenzo, said that the airlines were large international operators who have expressed an interest in the islands, following on from a high-profile campaign to boost tourism.
Whilst the identities of the airlines has yet to be announced, the news comes as an additional boost to the local tourism industry, which is seeing a sharp surge in visitor numbers this year.
German budget airline Veuling is the latest operator to start flights to the islands.
