The TRAINING Service offers programs aimed at specializing Canary Islands professionals in foreign trade so as to create an exchange of experts that meets the needs of our companies.
With this program, PROEXCA provides knowledge related to international public bidding to young Canary Islands degree holders who, at the same time and thanks to this training, become revitalizers of the island’s businesses.
The training process for JELINT scholars comprises two phases. The first corresponds to a theory course taught by experts of renowned prestige. In this course, the select group of young people learn to identify, manage, control and properly monitor international bidding processes opened up by multilateral finance institutions (World Bank, African Development Bank, European Investment Bank, etc.).
The second phase involves integrating the select group of scholars in the management team of the companies that participate in the program. For a period of six months, put the knowledge acquired into practice under supervision by expert consultants.
The primary activities and services undertaken during the internship include:
Providing information to the Canary Islands business community through studies, sector notes, etc.
Commercial advising for businesses
Contact with local institutions and companies
Investment project capture
The PROEXCA Work Abroad Grants Program has a double purpose. On the one hand, it offers specific training on International Commerce and Market Analysis to young degree holders through direct contact with international markets. And on the other hand, it allows for the creation of a network of international agents who provide services to Canary Islands businesses.
The Internal Grant Program is for young people who have studied at Canary Islands universities and the objective is to train real professionals in internationalization in the region.
The grants are offered for a period of one year and allow beneficiaries to work in the various structural divisions of a company (PROMOTION, TRAINING-INFORMATION, INTERNATIONAL NETWORK, INVESTMENT PROMOTION AND DIVERSIFICATION), with first-hand knowledge of the reality associated with the internationalization of the Canary Islands business sector as well as the different programs that institutions like PROEXCA develop to promote exporting by the Archipelago’s production sectors.
