The Canary Islands are considered to be a natural stage for filming short films, feature films, advertising spots and everything related to the film and audiovisual industry.

Thanks to the tax incentive Reserve for Investments in the Canary Islands (RIC) these RIC funds can be invested in the production of feature films and short films and series or documentaries as well as in the development of programs as long as they are completed on the Canary Islands.

To do so, it is necessary to be registered with the Canary Islands Audiovisual Business Register and obtain the “Made in the Canary Islands” seal. The Reserve for Investments in the Canary Islands, along with the Special Canary Islands Zone (4% of Business Tax), is one of the main incentives of the Canary Islands Economic and Fiscal Scheme for this sector.
