Services offered: The services offered are those that derive from the duties of the Institutional Relations Office in Madrid, regulated in Decree 7/2004 of 3 February approving the Organic Regulations regarding the Presidency of the Government.

Article 20.1 of this Decree indicates that the institutional relations offices abroad have the following general competences:
- Support and assistance for the President of the Government in the exercise of his/her functions as the institutional representative of the Autonomous Region of the Canary Islands
- Channelling the actions of the President of the Government corresponding to relations with the Government of the Canary Islands
- Coordinating and supporting the activities of the departments of autonomous Administration in its territorial jurisdiction
- Channelling the procedures of the different public and private bodies as well as Institutions, Local Administrations and Departments of the Government of the Canary Islands before the Institutions of its territorial jurisdiction
- Administrative support to Canary Islands emigrants and Canary Islands entities outside their territorial jurisdiction
Moreover, article 23.2 specifies the functions of the Madrid Office, which besides the general functions of institutional relations offices regulated in article 20.1, it has the following:
- Analysis and monitoring of legislative, control and budget procedures carried out in the Spanish legislature
- Monitoring autonomous legislative initiatives before state institutions
- Organization, support and assistance with informational meetings, seminars and conferences in order to inform the interested sectors, bodies and organizations on the Archipelago
- Advise and inform the President of the Government and, where appropriate, the sectorial departments affected by State legislative initiatives
- Relations with Deputies and Senators elected in the electoral districts of the Archipelago and Senators appointed by the Autonomous Region
- Logistics support for members of the Government of the Canary Islands, top officials and personnel that serve the Autonomous Region that require material means to conduct their work in Madrid
- Processing publications on state and autonomous policies, transferring and disseminating them to the official bodies of the Autonomous Region of the Canary Islands
- Collaboration with other public or private organizations on issues of interest to the Canary Islands as well as with Representation Offices of the Autonomous Regions.
Furthermore, the Office is fully committed to simplifying bureaucratic procedures and offers a public register timetable of 9:00 a.m. - 2 p.m. with the resulting advantages for citizens as regards immediacy, easier procedures and greater control and reliability.
