Administrative Unit: The Delegation of the Government in Caracas is attached to the Directorate General for American Relations which operates under the general coordination of the Commissioner for External Action.

Objectives and Role:

• Collaborate with the departments of the Government of the Canary Islands processing aid, subsidies and transfers to Canary Islands emigrants and their descendants as well as to Canary Islands entities in the Republic of Venezuela.
• Assist the departments of the Government of the Canary Islands with the execution of healthcare and assistance programmes for Canary Islands emigrants and their descendants.
• Support and lead development cooperation projects in which the Autonomous Region of the Canary Islands participates.
• Logistical support for top authorities and personnel that work for the Autonomous Region of the Canary Islands when they participate in institutional events.
